# Privacy Policy
**Effective Date: September 18, 2026**
This Privacy Policy applies to the Search by CALMIA app for iOS devices (the "Application"), operated by CALMIA (the "Service Provider"). Search by CALMIA is a calm search client. You type a query, and results are shown in a native list. Pages open in an in-app browser. We do not create accounts, and we do not keep a search-history database.
## 1. Information We Process
### 1.1 Search Queries
When you search, we send your query (up to 2,000 characters), language, region, page number, and Accept-Language header to our Cloudflare Worker. The Worker forwards this to TinyFish (a third-party search API) to retrieve results.
**We do not store your search queries on our servers.** The Worker caches identical search responses for up to 5 minutes on the CDN. This cache is not tied to any user profile.
### 1.2 App Settings
We store your language, search region, bookmarks, and open tabs **on your device only** using Apple's standard local storage (SwiftData). This data is not transmitted to our servers and is deleted when you uninstall the app. It may be included in iCloud device backups according to Apple's backup policies.
### 1.3 What We Do Not Collect
Search by CALMIA does not collect or use:
* Account information (no login, no registration)
* Advertising identifiers (IDFA)
* Location information
* Contacts, camera, photos, microphone
* Usage analytics or third-party analytics SDKs
* Push notification tokens
We do not collect any information beyond what is listed above.
## 2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above solely to:
* Retrieve and display search results
* Remember your language and region preferences
* Save bookmarks and tabs on your device
We do not use your information for advertising, marketing, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the operation of the Application.
## 3. Data Storage and Security
Search queries are transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). Our Cloudflare Worker processes queries in memory and does not write them to a database. TinyFish processes queries according to its own privacy policy. We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with third parties for their own purposes.
## 4. Third-Party Services
Search by CALMIA uses the following third-party services strictly to operate the Application:
* **Cloudflare Workers** — for backend processing (query relay and temporary caching)
* **TinyFish** — for search results (third-party search API)
These providers process data only on our behalf. TinyFish handles queries in accordance with its own privacy policy, which is available on the TinyFish website. We do not integrate third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, or profiling services.
## 5. Tracking and Advertising
Search by CALMIA does not track you across apps or websites. The Application does not:
* Use App Tracking Transparency (ATT) for tracking
* Display advertisements
* Use advertising networks
* Share data with advertisers
* Create user profiles
* Use your information for marketing purposes
## 6. Data Retention and Deletion
We do not retain search queries on our servers. Bookmarks, tabs, and settings are stored on your device and are deleted when you uninstall the Application. If you wish to request deletion of any data or have questions about retention, please contact us using the information in Section 10.
## 7. Children
Search by CALMIA does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The Application is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided personal information through the Application, please contact us so that we can take appropriate action.
## 8. International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed and stored on servers located outside your country of residence. By using Search by CALMIA, you consent to the transfer of your information to these locations. We take reasonable steps to ensure that your information receives an adequate level of protection in the jurisdictions where it is processed.
## 9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of Search by CALMIA after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
