Privacy Policy - Daily
Privacy Policy - Daily
Effective Date: August 17, 2026
This privacy policy applies to the Daily app for iOS devices (the "Application"), operated by CALMIA (the "Service Provider").
1. Information Collection and Use
The Application does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information to external servers.
All data you enter into the Application—including schedules, to-dos, daily notes, memos, settings, and photos—is stored locally on your iPhone using SwiftData. This data never leaves your device.
The Service Provider does not collect:
IP addresses
Device identifiers
Usage analytics
Crash reports
Any personally identifiable information
2. Weather Feature
To display weather information, the Application sends the city name you select to the Open-Meteo API (https://open-meteo.com/).
No GPS/location data is used.
No other information is transmitted.
For more details, see Open-Meteo's privacy policy:
https://open-meteo.com/en/terms
3. Photos (Optional Feature)
The Application allows you to add photos to your notes and daily entries using the PhotosPicker API provided by Apple.
How photo access works:
When you first use the photo feature, the Application requests permission to access your photo library.
You can choose to grant:
Limited access: You select individual photos to use in the Application.
Full access: You allow the Application to access your entire photo library (you can change this anytime in your iPhone Settings).
Regardless of the access level you choose:
The Application only uses the photos you explicitly select.
Selected photos are stored locally within the Application and never transmitted to external servers.
No photo library data is collected, analyzed, or shared.
Your control:
You can change or revoke photo access at any time in your iPhone's Settings > Privacy > Photos.
Revoking access does not delete photos already added to the Application; you can delete them manually within the Application.
4. Third-Party Access
The Application does not share your data with third parties, except for:
Open-Meteo API: City name is sent solely for weather data retrieval.
No aggregated or anonymized data is collected or transmitted for analytics, advertising, or any other purpose.
5. Data Deletion
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you can delete it at any time by:
Deleting individual items (schedules, to-dos, notes, memos) within the Application.
Uninstalling the Application from your iPhone, which removes all associated data.
Note: If you have iCloud Backup enabled, deleted data may remain in your iCloud backup until it is overwritten. To permanently remove data, disable iCloud Backup for the Application or delete the backup.
If you have any questions about data deletion, contact us at info@calmia.com.
6. Children
The Application is not intended for children under 13 years of age. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect any personal information from children.
7. Security
The Service Provider takes reasonable measures to protect your data. However, since all data is stored locally on your device, you are responsible for securing your iPhone (e.g., using passcodes, Face ID, or Touch ID).
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
The Service Provider may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
